Hey Friends,

It's Halloween today, but Trick-or-Treating far from my mind.  I have enjoyed my final week of No Training as I am Ready for this Race on Sunday!

This is the Final Countdown.... http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#!/photo.php?v=4156301978938

Time to really help these Kids get to Summer Camp.  There's still time to donate!

Join me at the Kick-Off to Race Day on Friday, Nov. 2nd at 6:30 p.m. at the Arthritis Foundation (1221 E. Osborn Rd, Suite 201, Phoenix, AZ) or come to the Race itself on Sunday, Nov. 4th at 7 AM, and Cheer me on. (the race starts at 1st Ave and Jefferson, and loops by the Capitol Building, then up Central to near Bethany Home, and back to 1st Ave and Washington.)

Thanks again for all of your Support.

Best,

Pete

Hey Friends,

WOW! This was a week of Personal Bests.  I swam my first ever ONE MILE Swim; and I completed a 12 Mile Hand Cycling ride.

... and today's ride brought me over my goal of training 180 Miles (The Distance to Camp Cruz).

BUT, the most important part of this race is the Kids.  Please help me by donating (whatever you can) to send these great Kids to Camp.

Also join me November 2nd, at the ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION office for a Kick-Off Party! and Come Cheer me on, at the race, on November 4th!

Hey Friends,

It's been a great few weeks of training.  Actually I'm ahead of schedule by about 3 weeks, even getting in another PB 10 miler last Saturday.  13.1 miles doesn't seem so insurmountable anymore.  (wow, I can't believe I just said that).

Anyhow, the most important part of this race is the Kids.  Please help me by donating (whatever you can) to send these great Kids to Camp.

One of my Favorite Campers told me, "camp is so important to me, because it's like a second family. People there understand what you are going through and it's truly amazing"

Hey Friends,

This web site has been active for just a few weeks, and already the donations are streaming in. I can't thank you enough for the encouragement.
My Training this past week was a bit slow, as I was fighting off one of those dreaded summer colds... so I'm a few miles behind on training miles. (I only did 5 miles, and 24 laps swimming). This weekend I vow to kick it back up a notch, and try a PB 8 miler, while riding with my friends at AzDS.

Hey Everyone,

I am so, so excited about how training is going. I’ve taken my training to the next level and I can now comfortably cover 6 miles of ground without stressing it. In fact, it’s really fun, even in this HEAT.

I’ve also set a personal training goal of swimming 1 mile in a single work-out.  So far, I have completed my ½ swim goal, and I have a month or two left to reach that 1 mile goal.

With the race being only 12 weeks away, I need to buckle down and train hard.  Your encouragement and donations have helped fuel my drive to continue, push harder, and sweat it out.

Thanks a Million

Pete
